Women’s Aid, has launched a groundbreaking new campaign ‘The Monster Who Came to Tea’, co-produced by Passion Pictures and Merman Branded in collaboration with agency House 337.
With animation directed by Tulips & Chimneys, the illustrations, animation and compositing done by the lovely mum-daughter duo at Muse & Doodle and live action directed by Guy Manwaring the campaign serves as a rallying cry for urgent government action to properly fund specialist domestic abuse services ahead of the Spring Spending Review.
Blending live-action with painterly, storybook-inspired animation, the deeply moving film portrays the harrowing experience of a mother and daughter facing domestic abuse. Told through the eyes of a young girl named Lily and narrated by Anne-Marie Duff, the story delivers a poignant and urgent message.
