We were contacted by the V&A Waterfront to come up with a visual style and direction for their Kids Ohoy identity.
We drew our design inspiration from the waterfront, aquatic creatures and the animals and flora commonly found in Cape Town. We interpreted all of this with a fantasy twist in bright bold colours that would appeal to children. Our sea plants for example are inspired by proteas and fynbos while ships and whales act as islands that support iconic waterfront buildings. We designed all the elements in such a way that they could be used individually or arranged in new compositions for extended campaigns. The material is used in a variety of ways, ranging from murals, gift wrapping paper and posters to colouring in books.
